Zyglo® PENETRANTS

ZYGLO® is an extremely sensitive fluorescent penetrant inspection method that reveals cracks and other surface discontinuities in virtually any non-porous material.

Magnaglo® /Magnaflux®

Magnetic particle inspection is a nondestructive inspection method used for detection
of surface and subsurface flaws in ferrous parts. MPI inspection is used to inspect a variety of product forms such as castings, forgings, and weldments.

  1. Dry and wet particles are available to suit your needs.
  2. Choose from fluorescent or non-fluorescent for UV or daylight inspection.
  3. Particle size is controlled to ensure maximum sensitivity.
  4. Fluorescent particles are encapsulated to minimize separation of fluorescence from particles.

Benefits

Our magnetic particles are designed to hold up better and do not break down during agitation. This avoids having to change the bath as often and insures consistent performance during inspection.

The only requirement from an inspectability standpoint is that the component being inspected must be made of a ferromagnetic material such as iron, nickel or cobalt, or some of their alloys. Ferromagneticmaterials are materials that can be magnetized to a level that will allowthe inspection to be effective.

The MAGNAGLO product line is our fluorescent (requires a black light) wet method magnetic particle materials used in Magnetic Particle Inspection to locate surface and subsurface flaws in ferrous parts.

The MAGNAFLUX product line is our dry method, non-fluorescent magnetic particle materials used in Magnetic Particle Inspection to detect surface and subsurface flaws in ferrous parts.

Y1-AC YOKE

The Y-1 Yoke is an articulated leg magnetic yoke, which provides a portable means of creating magnetic fields for the detection of surface indications.

The unit consists of a core of micro coated laminated C3 Steel - iron with energy efficient
magnetizing coils. These components are housed in an isolated shell, which also anchors the power cable and the operating switch. Each leg  is connected to the core and has two moveable joints permitting a contouring to fit various part geometry’s. The 115v yoke is equipped with a ten foot line cable having a standard three prong-grounding plug. The 230v version has a line cord without a plug for final integration in the customer’s many locations.
